Project Summary:
ALO is a non-profitable voluntary organization, has been working for the environment, climate, forestation, vulnerable woman and children. On this trend, the proposed project has been made on nursery establishment namely forest-grown, fruits-tree and herbal tree seedlings and seeds. In this project, ALO will select 100 women with 10 groups. In each group, 10 women will be included. The main purpose of this project is to make a nursery and give training to the beneficiaries. Trees will be distributed among the beneficiaries and the beneficiaries will be paid a part of profit selling trees. This project is a continuous project. After one year, new beneficiaries will be selected at the same process who will be taken form other villages. At present environment problem is the main problem. Bangladesh is mostly affected in the climate risk. Due to cut down of forest, ecological balance has been changed in Bangladesh. In our targeted area, forest-grown, fruits-tree and Herbal tree has been cut down for fuel, furniture and other purposes. So to protect ecological balance of the area, ALO has taken this project proposal for implementation.
Background of the Project:
At present environment problem is the main and core problem. Environment is mostly related to air, water, trees, birds, animals sound and many other elements. Trees help us a lot to keep our environment suitable for living. Trees are useful to man in tree ways: they provide him with wood, oxygen and other products; they give him shade; and they help to prevent drought and floods. It is a friend of man. Without trees the soil becomes hard and poor. Once all kind of trees were full and the ecological balance was kept up smoothly in the project area. The procreation ability of the birds and animals was normal in its daily life. Different kind of birds and animals were enough to keep up the balance of ecosystem. Many kinds of fruits-trees, forest-grown and herbal trees were seen 10-12 years ago. People, being uneducated and unconscious about tree, begin to cut down trees and gradually the environmental and ecological balance has been changed and recently the ecosystem has been damaged. From this project, the people of the area will be conscious about the significance of tree plantation, the methods and taking care of tree plantation though the proposed training plan. Lack of consciousness and lack of awareness of forestation and ecosystem, geographical balance has been extinct in the area. And for extinction of this forestation, the procreation impotent the birds and animals is tremendously being hampered. Total environmental balance is lost for the ecosystem. Weight level erosion, deforestation, increasing carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere, increasingly emission of cloro-floro carbon dioxide gas from the industries of developed countries and natural calamity are the main headache spotlight of the world people. All people are completely dependent on chemical fertilizer, pesticide and Herbicides in applying the crops. For this reason, total ecological balance has been destroyed from this area. The main purpose of this project is to develop the women who will come in the nursery to receive training and take practical work experience giving labor. ALO will distribute seedlings to the beneficiaries. Then they will make a nursery in their yard and work area. For this reason its importance and urgency is very much needed to develop the ecosystem of the area.
