Description
The She Wins Climate Southeast Asia Accelerator, spearheaded by New Energy Nexus (NEX) in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), empowers women entrepreneurs to transform climate challenges into scalable solutions. This 12-month program, backed by the Governments of Canada and Australia, targets 25 visionary founders from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Participants receive intensive support to overcome gender-specific barriers in the climate tech sector, accelerating ventures that address energy transition, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience. By bridging gaps in funding and visibility, the initiative amplifies women’s leadership in the green economy while fostering a collaborative regional ecosystem.
Eligibility
This accelerator welcomes women founders, co-founders, owners, or executives of climate-focused startups operating in the eight target Southeast Asian countries. Applicants must be aged 21+ and possess proficiency in English for program engagement. Eligible startups must be women-owned or women-led, with a clear mission to combat climate change through technology, policy advocacy, or community-driven solutions. Ventures at any development stage—from prototype to market-ready—are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate potential for regional impact and scalability.
