Deadline: August 5, 2025.
Description
The Resilience Fellowship is back for its 4th instalment, this time, exclusively in East Africa, starting with Kenya! Designed by youth, for youth — we’re offering spots for 7 pairs of East African changemakers (ages 18- 26) to join a powerful 9-month journey of growth, healing, leadership, and resilience.
We invite you to our human-centered Fellowship — a space to deepen your activism, connect with like-minded peers, and co-lead real change in your community.
This is a high-commitment, 9-month fellowship designed for passionate, grounded changemakers ready to dedicate time and energy to personal growth, peer leadership, and community resilience. We’re looking for individuals who are fully committed to the full arc of the programme, including in-person events, weekly facilitation, ongoing mentorship, and deep community work.
Eligibility
You must be aged 18-26, based in Kenya, and committed to being available from September 2025 to March 2026.
Apply as a Pair: Resilience Circles are co-hosted in pairs, so we expect applications from pre-formed pairs who already work well together.
Inclusion Matters: We believe climate justice is intersectional. That means we actively encourage applications from marginalised communities, including youth with lived experience of inequality related to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, socio-economic background, and faith. We welcome and honour complexity here.
Are you:
- Ready and able to commit time for training, facilitation, mentorship, and reporting over 9 months?
- Passionate about climate justice and building strong, emotionally resilient communities?
- A great listener, a compassionate leader-in-the-making, and excited to support others?
- Open to exploring climate anxiety, burnout, and emotional well-being?
- Proficient in English?
Benefits
You’ll get:
- A KES 40,000 stipend, plus covered travel to our Resilience Residential (October 3 – 7 2025)
- 5 days of deep restoration in nature at our Resilience Residential — with great food, meaningful conversations, and personal healing
- Certification as a Mental Health First Aider
- 8 months of intergenerational mentorship with experts
- New skills in facilitation, leadership, project management, and community care
