A Home, Clean Water, and Dignity for Lubna Begum’s Family in Laxmipur
Mission Statement
This campaign aims to raise USD 3,000 to build a safe, durable home, install clean water and sanitation facilities, and support urgent health and educational needs for Lubna Begum’s family. With your help, we will ensure they live with safety, dignity, and hope for the future.
The Human Case
Lubna Begum is a widowed mother living in Banchanagar, Ward No. 2, Laxmipur Sadar Upazila. She is the sole caregiver to her three daughters. Their home is fragile and unsafe, with no guarantee of protection from harsh weather. Lubna makes her living doing irregular domestic work; her income is unstable and insufficient even for food, let alone school fees or medical treatment.
Her daughters’ schooling is repeatedly interrupted because Lubna cannot afford supplies or the occasional fee. Meanwhile, Lubna herself suffers from chronic back pain and other untreated health issues, making it harder for her to work.
“I worry every night about their education, their health, and whether we will stay dry when the rain comes,” Lubna says.
Context & Urgency
Rural Bangladesh, especially in coastal and border districts like Laxmipur, remains one of the areas most affected by poverty, infrastructural neglect, and gender inequities. Female-headed households are especially vulnerable—often excluded from social safety nets, with less access to secure income, health services, and formal aid.
Lubna’s situation is urgent. Unstable shelter exposes the family to seasonal dangers, lack of sanitation puts them at immediate health risk, and without a reliable source of income, each day is a struggle for survival.

Transparency & Accountability
Funds Use: Every donation will go directly toward essential needs—construction materials, skilled and unskilled labor, sanitation facilities, clean water access, health treatment, and educational support for Lubna Begum’s family.
Oversight: The project will be monitored by local community representatives and Animation Liberate for Organize (ALO). We will ensure all work is properly implemented and verified.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Bi-Annual Reports: Twice yearly, we will provide donors with written progress reports, accompanied by photographs and video interviews with Lubna and her family.
Completion Reporting: Immediately after the construction of the house and installation of water and sanitation facilities, we will document the process through photos and an in-depth video interview with Lubna. This will be uploaded and shared with donors as a final impact story.
Budget Control: Administrative and monitoring costs are capped at no more than 10%, ensuring that the vast majority of contributions directly benefit the family.
