The People’s Voice Runa’s Story Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsR45BiJfFA
Runa Akhtar’s life changed in a moment. Her husband, who had just migrated to Saudi Arabia for work, passed away only 13 days after arrival. Instead of receiving the support her family desperately needed, she was left with heavy debts, no compensation, and the responsibility of raising three young children alone.
Today, Runa and her children live in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur, in unsafe and unstable conditions. Without a proper home, secure income, or access to education, their future is at risk. The family faces constant pressure from lenders and the threat of eviction, while the children are growing up without the stability every child deserves.
This campaign aims to raise USD 4,300 to:
-
Build a modest but durable home with a tin roof, brick walls, toilet, and tube well.
-
Provide one year of education support for Runa’s three children (renewable annually).
-
Ensure robust monitoring with ground checks, bi-annual visits, and annual impact reports for two years.
