Campaign for Ensuring Safe Water and Sanitation for Embankment Communities in Lakshmipur

Help bring safe drinking water and toilets to 60 vulnerable families living along canal embankments in coastal Bangladesh. With just $302, you can build a shared toilet for 2–3 families. For $155, you can provide a deep tube well serving 10+ people. Your support improves health, dignity, and resilience in a neglected community facing floods, poverty, and waterborne disease.

In Charbati Union, a vulnerable coastal area of Bangladesh, over 200 people live along canal embankments in fragile, makeshift homes. These families have no access to toilets or safe water. Open defecation, contaminated canals, and recurring outbreaks of diarrhea, cholera, and dysentery pose daily threats—especially to women, children, and the elderly.

ALO (Animation Liberate for Organize) is launching a scalable, community-led WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiative to break this cycle of disease and marginalization. In its first phase, the project will provide:

  • 10 flood-resilient shared toilets (1 per 2–3 families)

  • 5 deep tube wells on raised platforms for clean drinking water

  • Hygiene education and training for long-term impact

  • Community WASH Committees to maintain infrastructure and ownership

The total cost to serve 60 households (200–300 people) is just $5,995 USD.

How You Can Help:

  • $155 → Install a deep tube well for 10+ people

  • $302 → Build a shared toilet for 2–3 families

  • $600 → Provide water and sanitation access to 10 families

  • $5,995 → Fully fund Phase 1 for 60 households

This project isn’t charity—it’s an investment in health, dignity, and survival. Every donation directly funds infrastructure, training, and a path toward resilience for one of Bangladesh’s most underserved communities.
