Henry Arnhold Fellowship 2026 by the Mulago Foundation

Deadline: August 28, 2025

Description

The Henry Arnhold Fellowship, run by the Mulago Foundation, is a highly selective program for visionary founders tackling some of the world’s biggest conservation and climate challenges. Each year, 8–10 exceptional leaders are selected to receive deep, strategic support to help design, scale, and amplify the impact of their innovative solutions. The fellowship combines financial backing with immersive retreats and high-touch coaching that focuses on what matters most: turning bold ideas into sustainable, scalable systems that protect ecosystems and combat climate change.

This is not just a fellowship—it’s a launchpad for environmental entrepreneurs who are ready to scale their impact and become part of a growing global community working at the intersection of nature, climate, and innovation.

Eligibility

Applicants must be founders or CEOs (or equivalent executive leadership) of a nonprofit or for-profit organization—no matter how small or early-stage—that addresses a significant conservation or climate issue. The organization must already be operational, and the leader must be working full-time on the initiative. Mulago looks for candidates with scalable solutions capable of exponential impact: whether it’s protecting forests, oceans, rivers, and grasslands; reducing emissions; or building resilience to the climate crisis. Applicants should be driven, design-minded, and focused on delivering outcomes that last.

Benefits

The fellowship offers:

  • A $100,000 unrestricted grant provided up front
  • Two week-long, in-person strategic retreats focused on design for impact and scale (June 2026)
  • Ongoing coaching in design, communication, and strategy over the fellowship year
  • Access to a global peer network of conservation and climate leaders
  • Consideration for longer-term Mulago funding

Fellows gain rare, dedicated time to refine their models, build clarity around scale, and develop the strategy, language, and partnerships to grow their solution.

How to Apply

The application process is brief and can be completed in about 1–2 hours. Applicants must fill out the online form provided by Mulago and submit basic details about their organization, leadership role, and solution. The deadline for submission is August 28, 2025.
