Description
The Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) Youth Forum 2026 is a unique platform for young people across Asia and the Pacific to engage with sustainable development initiatives and contribute to shaping policies aligned with the 2030 Agenda. Organized by ARROW, in partnership with Youth LEAD and YPEER Asia-Pacific Center, this hybrid event will be held from February 18–20, 2026. The forum will focus on transformative, equitable, innovative, and coordinated actions for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with particular attention to health, gender equality, clean water, energy, innovation, sustainable cities, climate change, and partnerships.
The Youth Forum offers participants the opportunity to present implemented projects, research, and advocacy initiatives related to SDGs under review for 2026. Each day of the forum focuses on different thematic areas: climate, innovation, and sustainable communities, with youth-led sessions to share evidence-based approaches and solutions. This interactive environment promotes capacity-building, especially in data-driven advocacy for SDGs, while allowing young participants to influence regional and global policy discussions.
Eligibility
The forum is open to adolescents and young people aged 13–30 from the Asia-Pacific region. Applicants are encouraged to submit abstracts of completed programs, initiatives, or research relevant to SDGs, emphasizing youth engagement and implementation on the ground. Abstract submissions must be in English and accompanied by the APFSD Youth Forum application form.
Benefits
Participants gain exposure to regional sustainable development dialogues, capacity-building in advocacy, networking opportunities with peers and experts, and the chance to contribute to national, sub-regional, and regional Youth Calls to Action. Some selected participants may receive support for participation, while others may join on a self-funded basis.
How to Apply
Interested applicants should submit their abstracts online via the [Google Form]( and complete the APFSD Youth Forum Application Form by November 5, 2025. Abstracts should include title, affiliation, introduction, methodology, and findings/outcomes.
