Eligibility

The only restriction is that employees and staff of the GCSP, as well as their family members, are not eligible to participate. Projects submitted must have a global reach, extending beyond national borders, and should demonstrate innovative or new ideas in addressing global security challenges. How to Apply
Applications for the 2025 GCSP Prize must be submitted through the official online application form available at the Cognito Forms link provided by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. Submissions must be in English and include a project abstract (maximum 250 words), a detailed project description (maximum 750 words), a technical process description (if applicable), an estimated budget, an explanation of the project’s novel contribution to global security, and a description of its short-term and long-term impacts. Optionally, applicants may include up to five image files to support their submission. Applications sent through any other channel will not be considered. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, 25 September 2025, at 23:59 UTC-2. A panel of independent GCSP experts will evaluate applications, with the top 15 advancing to a panel of judges co-chaired by the Director of the GCSP and the Director of the Geopolitics and Global Futures Department.
