Description
The Asia Gender Equality Fund (Round 3), backed by Fondation CHANEL, the Gates Foundation, and the Minderoo Foundation, empowers nonprofits tackling the gendered impacts of climate change across the Asia-Pacific. With a mission to deploy USD 25 million over five years, this round specifically targets initiatives that secure economic justice for women and girls facing climate vulnerabilities. Supported by AVPN’s Asia Gender Network, the fund fuels scalable solutions in climate resilience, green economy participation, and advocacy, transforming systemic barriers into opportunities for gender equity in a warming world.
Eligibility
Eligible organizations must be registered non-profits operating in APAC with a proven track record in gender and climate work. Applicants must demonstrate a clear, feasible solution with potential for scalability and impact, supported by two years of audited financial reports. The fund prioritizes initiatives focused on:
- Building climate resilience for women and girls
- Enabling participation in the green economy
- Supporting communities with high climate vulnerability
- Advocating for inclusive green policies
Exclusions: Religious organizations, entities on UN/international sanctions lists, or those blacklisted by the US/EU.

How to Apply
- Review Requirements: Confirm alignment with impact areas and eligibility criteria. Prepare audited financial reports (last 2 years) and a detailed solution plan.
- Submit Application: Complete the online form via the AVPN Portal by June 8, 2025. Note: Only one application per organization (sub-entities may apply separately).
- Await Assessment: Applications evaluated on financial stability, solution feasibility, scalability, and impact reach. Top candidates undergo due diligence in June–September 2025.
- Receive Outcome: Grantees announced in September 2025, with immediate fund disbursement.
