Animation Liberate For Organize (ALO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Jessore, Bangladesh. Since its establishment in 1994, ALO has been dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities through initiatives in education, health, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development.
Who Is ALO?
ALO, short for Animation Liberate For Organize, is a voluntary development organization committed to empowering the poor and vulnerable, with a particular focus on women and children. The organization operates under the leadership of Executive Director Md. Anisur Rahman and is guided by a seven-member executive committee.
Mission and Vision
ALO’s mission is to establish and empower disadvantaged individuals, enabling them to live in peace and justice while embracing democratic values.
ALO envisions a society where every individual has access to basic rights and opportunities, fostering an environment of equality and development.

1. Capacity Building Training and Seminars
ALO conducts various training programs aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of community members:
– Public Health Care (PHC) Training for 600 group cadres
– Leadership & Group Management Training
– Accounts Management for 90 group cashiers
– Human Rights and Women’s Rights Training
– Gender Relation Development Training
– Credit Management for 150 group members
– Staff Development Training
– Provision of materials and resource persons
2. Workshops and Seminars
– Workshops on Women’s Participation (2 annually)
– Seminars on Women’s Economic Involvement
– Support materials and resource persons
3. Credit Support for Income-Generating Activities (IGA)
– Homestead Gardening for 150 women
– Poultry Rearing/Farming for 75 women
– Rice Husking and Small Trades for 75 women
4. Health & Nutrition Education
– Health Education for staff and 600 cadres
– Establishment of a clinic
– Equipment and furniture support
– Medicines and TBA Training
– Observation of Health Days
5. Legal Aid & Democracy Education
– Distribution of educational materials
– Advocacy meetings and seminars
– Folk songs and theatre for awareness

6. Staff Support and Salaries
ALO ensures fair compensation and annual inflation adjustment for its team, including:

– Messenger and support staff
7. Overhead and Administrative Costs
ALO allocates 7% of the total project cost to cover necessary administrative and management expenses.
